Sarah Dicks Joins Covert as Senior Producer

Covert is pleased to welcome Sarah Dicks to the team as Senior Producer, bringing extensive experience across agency and VFX post-production along with a passion for storytelling, collaboration and craft.

Sarah began her career on the agency side working at Mullen Lowe before moving into post-production and visual effects, the area she quickly realised she was most passionate about. Growing up watching classic films, she was always curious about how they were made, from the way scenes were constructed to the techniques used behind the camera. That curiosity naturally led her into VFX.

Over the course of her career, Sarah has worked at leading studios including The Mill and Framestore, contributing to projects across film, television, trailers and commercial campaigns. Highlights include the 2023 feature film One Life, recreating the pre-war settings of London and Prague, as well as trailers for Doctor Who and Game of Thrones, and campaigns for brands including Nike, Panasonic and Sky.

Joining Covert felt like a natural next step for Sarah, having long admired the studio’s creative output and seeing former colleagues already part of the production team.

“I was overwhelmed by how welcoming and approachable everyone is,” she said. “The management team regularly checks in to make sure everything’s going well, which creates a really supportive environment.”

Clear communication is central to Sarah’s approach to producing. One principle she follows is simple: assume nothing and clarify everything. In fast-paced production environments, ensuring everyone shares the same understanding helps projects run smoothly. She also believes strong company culture is key to producing great work, particularly when teams are working to tight deadlines.

Looking ahead, Sarah is excited to collaborate across a wide range of projects, although she admits a luxury commercial for Chanel or Christian Dior would be a dream.
